For PRIDE 2017, all Omnicom agencies were asked to create a short video to represent the theme “Love Happens Here”.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Amongst a team of Researchers, Project Managers and Designers, we started the creative process by doing something integral to the company, we gathered data!
LOVE STORIES
We didn’t feel the data thoroughly portrayed the emotion of the subject matter. As the Creative Lead, I tasked a group of researchers to produce a short questionnaire to help discover real LGBT+ experiences, both good and bad, amongst our colleagues. Hall & Partners pride themselves on telling insightful stories, so why not take the opportunity to share our own stories?
TO THE STREETS
Once we had selected the most powerful stories, we headed out on to the streets of Southwark to film a group of individuals holding white paper boards, that I would later add the stories to. We filmed people from different backgrounds and cultures – Italian, Scottish, South African, English, Swedish, Argentinian – to reflect the diversity of London and the PRIDE parade.
LOVE HAPPENS HERE
The final video was screened throughout the 2017 PRIDE parade. It was a great collaborative effort – even the soundtrack was produced by one of the researchers – and one that I was very proud to lead and showcase.
